Welcome to runner’s table.
I am a baker, graduate student, and runner. I started this blog as an excuse to take a break from writing my dissertation that doesn’t involve running. I have always loved to cook and bake, and this blog is a place for me to share my favorite recipes and frequent culinary experiments.
When I began distance running in college, I realized how much a healthy diet could support my fitness goals. I began to put a healthier spin on my favorite recipes, and developed the ability to “health-ify” almost anything. I am excited to share my healthy recipes, as well as occasional decadent creations t0 satisfy my enormous sweet tooth.
Some of my biggest cooking victories are delicious meals (and even breads!) cooked over a fire while camping in the Namibian bush, recreating favorite dishes from China or Thailand, and bringing a taste of home wherever I go.
